Practice a whole crossword instead of a single clue
Easy Crossword Unlimited gives you repeat play in an original connected 11×11 blocked grid. The answers cross, so a correct word supplies evidence for several other clues. This page is for choosing another practice session after the daily puzzle, rather than simply reading about unlimited play.
Unlimited means no daily play cap. The authored collection is finite; replaying a topic can eventually repeat a grid. The spacious design is deliberately different from a densely filled newspaper crossword.
Choose a practice goal
| If you want to… | Try this | Look for |
|---|---|---|
| Learn the controls | Choose Practice and a familiar topic. | The selected direction and shared crossing letter. |
| Reduce reliance on help | Attempt every direct clue before revealing. | Answers you can justify from the definition and crossings. |
| Learn unfamiliar vocabulary | Check an error, then read its explanation. | The meaning you missed, rather than only the answer spelling. |
| Compare another attempt | Play the same identified grid. | Assistance used as well as elapsed time. |
A reason to revise a guess
Suppose the clue asks for a five-letter orchard fruit. PEACH and APPLE are both reasonable until other evidence narrows the definition. If the reliable crossings produce A _ P _ E, APPLE fits and PEACH does not. Do not erase a correct crossing merely to protect your first guess.
If the clue itself is too broad for the intended answer, report the puzzle and clue through the feedback page. Crossings help disambiguate a crossword; they do not excuse a factually wrong clue.
Check does not mean reveal
Check locates incorrect entered letters. Reveal supplies an intended answer and is assistance. Use the tool whose result you actually want, then review your result on the same basis as another run. Practice is for relaxed learning, not a different answer key.

The beginner solving guide includes a confidence-first method and a short error-checking routine you can use on the next board.
